Is the cervical cancer shot really worth it? - anyone know anybody who got cancer from hpv

Did I hear from the HPV vaccine (I think that is what its caled) and bees I wondered whether I should do or not.Ovarian cancer in my family, but of course the shot will not help prevent cancer. Is it really useful to get the vaccine? Has anyone up? Why and why not? Thanks in advance!
